Thinking of Pumpkins
Hard to believe The Shoot Out is only 6 months ago which means it is 6 months away from happening again. Every year I try to tweak the event to make it better for everyone involved, from the participants to the volunteers and sponsors. This year will be no different. I have posted the list of Seven Improvements for 2008.
7 IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2008 :
More free filmmaking workshops for 17 & Under Students, as well as 17 & Older Filmmakers to be taught by previous winners. To be scheduled in September in Boulder-Denver. Sign-up for the newsletter with Get the Scoop!- Earlier start time with Registration and Kick-off at 6 PM in front of the Boulder Court House (instead of 9 PM).
- Matinee Screening at 1 PM on Sunday, October 12 of the Top 10 Films (hey, it’s a school night).
- All judging will take place prior to the actual screening of the Top 10 Films, and winning films catagorical prizes will be announced after each film screens. The Best Film will be the last to screen.
- Executive Director Michael Conti’s blog with postings of insider knowledge, judging tibits, special events, and behind the scenes coverage of The Shoot Out Boulder.
- Audience Booster Awards – Get your family and friends to attend, and make the biggest impact.
- Shoot Out Trivia Questions posted after the event online, and win more fab prizes!
Please comment as I am interested in what people think about these plans, and what you would like to see improved, added or changed.
