Description:
FAST FILMS at Boulder Digital Arts - Prepare for the 24-hour Shoot Out Boulder with this FREE workshop!

For filmmakers 18 & over

The Shoot Out 24 Hour Filmmaking Festival Boulder in association with Boulder Digital Arts is excited to announce a pre-Shoot Out workshop, Fast Films at Boulder Digital Arts. This free event is designed to help prepare the 18 & over filmmakers for The Shootout Boulder which will occur on October 10-12, 2008.

The day-long event will inspire film-makers to make a fast film while teaching them the methodology of successful short-form storytelling, lighting, directing, and in-camera editing. Special emphasis will be paid to The Shoot Out’s official format and requirements.

The workshop is a great way to help filmmakers find their vision, learn problem solving skills, and meet new friends. After this event, participants should have a head-start on preparing for the upcoming Shoot Out the next weekend. (For more information on the Shoot Out, visit www.theshootoutboulder.com)

Location:
BDA Studio
2510 47th Street, Suite 202, Boulder, CO 80301
The BDA Studio is located just off 47th Street, between Pearl and Valmont. 47th Street is the frontage road on the east side of Foothills Parkway, that parallels Foothills Parkway. Look for a white and green stucco-front, 2-story building on 47th Street about halfway between Pearl and Valmont. The BDA Studio is located above Alpine Sports; there is plenty of parking in front of the building. Enter through the door on the South side of the building (where you will see BDA Studio signage). The studio is located on the second floor in Suite 202, right at the top of the stairs. The Google map will get you pretty close, but is not entirely accurate; so please use the above description to be sure you make it the rest of the way!
